easy setup

I like the ease of using this for my pond. It gives the water fountain feature, but I don’t have to run an extension cord, and no complicated set ups. Pretty easy to get going, and this unit has a large solar panel. My front yard faces the south so I have no problem getting adequate sunlight. Now my pond has a fancy water feature, and I didn’t have to do much work!

Works well

I don't usually write reviews but this pump works so well for my purpose I felt I had to. I am a 79 year old woman that isn't much of a handy person. I got this pump for my fountain and put it all together in a short while. The part that took the longest was the tubing that I had to get to the right length. After trying several of the spouts that came with it, I found one that will just bubble like I wanted. Yes, it stops if it gets cloudy which is fine with me. I don't have an outside plug in so I needed solar power. This means I don't have to turn it off at night and it works most days as we get a lot of sun in summer. I hope the picture helps. I even have small frogs taking up residence!

Works well

I have been pleased with this item so far. The pump started up as soon as it was attached to the panel and is working well. Even on cloudy days the panel is picking up enough light to flow although the flow is lighter than at full light which is to be expected.

Pump can't be regulated enough for fountain - pressure too strong.

The pump appears to be too strong for my fountain. On the low setting, it may work for a little bit, but within minutes, it goes back to dispensing the water so strong that it runs over the sides. It does not have water very long. It is not that it is not working, but rather that it is too strong and does not allow you to regulate it enough to serve our purpose. I don't know if it is malfunctioning or just not appropriate for our use. If there is a manner that I can reduce the amount of water, please let me know. I thought about tying the tub or plugging the hole some, but the pressure would probably back up into the pump.

Efficient and Eco-Friendly Solar Pond Pump for Beautiful Water Features

This POPOSOAP Solar Pond Pump is a fantastic way to add a beautiful water feature to your garden or pond without the need for electricity. The 30W solar panel provides ample power, and the 430GPH flow adjustable pump allows you to customize the water flow for various effects. With a diverter valve and 6.6 FT of tubing, it's a versatile solution for ponds, wildlife gardens, waterfalls, fountains, and DIY yard water features. The 30W solar panel is powerful enough to drive the pump efficiently, relying entirely on sunlight. The 430GPH adjustable flow rate allows you to control the intensity of your water feature, from a gentle trickle to a more robust spray. The inclusion of a diverter valve and 6.6 FT tubing provides flexibility for setting up different water features. It's designed for various uses, including ponds, wildlife gardens, waterfalls, fountains, and DIY yard projects. Being solar-powered, it's an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution as it eliminates electricity bills. It's also easy to install without complex wiring, making it ideal for remote areas or those without outdoor outlets. Many users find it easy to assemble and appreciate its ability to add charm and aeration to water.Setting it up is relatively simple; just place the solar panel in direct sunlight and connect it to the pump. The pump will then circulate water, creating a beautiful fountain or waterfall effect. The adjustable flow allows you to fine-tune the display. It's a great way to improve water clarity and oxygenation in your pond, contributing to a healthier aquatic environment. Many users praise its quiet operation, creating a peaceful ambiance in the garden. While solar pumps are dependent on sunlight and may not work at full capacity on cloudy days or at night (unless a battery backup is purchased separately for models that support it), for those who don't require 24/7 operation, this is an excellent choice. Some users have noted that the manual could be clearer for initial setup, but online resources can help. However, the core benefits of zero electricity costs, easy installation, and environmental friendliness are consistently highlighted in user experiences with similar POPOSOAP products. For anyone looking for an efficient, eco-friendly, and versatile solar pond pump to create beautiful water features or improve pond health, this POPOSOAP 30W Solar Pond Pump is an excellent choice. Its powerful solar operation, adjustable flow, and ease of use make it a great addition to any garden or yard.

Versatile pond/fountain solar powered pond pump without power storage

This is a versatile solar powered pond/fountain water pump kit. There is ample tubing and connectors to adapt it to your specific water feature and the cord between the pump and solar panel is ample to get good positioning. Unfortunately, it lacks any power storage, so it ceases to work once the sun goes down. For this reason, I opted to repurpose the 30W solar panel for another purpose and instead purchased a DC power brick to run the pump instead. Seems great so far, but hard to assess longevity before the 6-12 month mark.

Ducks are happy.

I ordered this for use in a kiddie pool for ducks. It took a little bit to get it set up just right, but once it was it was worth it. The ducks love playing with the water spray.

Nice

This is a must have, it is nice to not have to run an extension cord to run a pump and the fountain is just a benefit and looks nice.

Good solar pump for a yard or pond water feature!

I decided to get this solar fountain to put into a large pot outside with lava stones to create a calming sound and feature in my garden. The fountain was easy to set up and the pump functions well with the various attachments it comes with. The fountain only functions when there is enough light out for the solar panel to power the pump, so the fountain only works during the day time. The pump comes with a good sized solar panel, that can be staked into the ground or mounted on a pole to collect light. The pump is able to push out a good amount of water to be able to create a nice sized water feature. One thing I will note is the filter needs to be cleaned frequently to prevent buildup of debris.Overall the pump is well made and works well.

Noce to have and easy to use.

Winter is still here but I was able to go out and test the unit and see what it would do in a 5 gallon bucket setup and this really works. I only have one negative and wish it had some way to slow it down on smaller setups. Once I get this in our pond, it would be a perfect addition and it is real easy to setup.

Solar Pond Pump

The POPOSOAP Solar Pond Pump (30W, 430GPH) is a well-designed and durable solar-powered water pump that effectively circulates water in various outdoor settings. Constructed with high-quality materials, this pump delivers reliable performance, making it ideal for ponds, waterfalls, fountains, and other DIY yard water features.I ordered this pump for my small Ranchito in southern Mexico, where the sun shines year-round, and it has proven to be an excellent choice. The solar-powered functionality ensures continuous operation without the need for electrical connections, making it both energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. The pump effectively sprays water over a wide area and can be adjusted for different flow settings using the included diverter valve and 6.6-ft tubing. While the instructions could be more detailed, the installation process is relatively intuitive for those familiar with pump systems. Given its performance and versatility, I find the price point fair for the quality and value offered.Overall, I highly recommend this solar pond pump for anyone looking to enhance their outdoor water features with a sustainable and efficient solution.

Don’t expect a lot of lift

Consider this a three-and-a-half-stars review. This is an okay solar fountain kit for my needs, and it does pump consistently when the sun is shining directly on the panel…just don’t expect a lot of lift from it. I have an existing spillway box sitting beside my 500-gallon pond, and this pump and panel cannot lift the water for more than little trickle off the spillway, even in the brightest sunlight. The pump quickly filled up the spillway reservoir (I’m guessing it’s about two or three gallons), but apparently the spillway is too large and too elevated for the pump to handle.I wrote the seller to ask if a higher wattage solar panel could be used with the pump (because I have several extra panels), and they confirmed that as long as the panel outputs 18 volts it should be fine. (They suggested a panel up to 55 watts, but I expect my 100 watt panel that outputs a maximum of 18 volts will be fine). The connector between the panel and the pump is a 3.5mm x 1.35mm male plug.A number of fountain parts are included, but I can’t really make use of them because my pond is essentially a deep hole with nothing to sit the pump and fountain extension on. I put the pump inside a filter bag that I tied to a stake at the side of the pond and ran the included translucent tubing directly from the pump out of the pond to feed back into it to test how it will do if I get some kind of edge-of-pond sluicing gizmo for it. When the sun is shining directly on the panel, the water flows strongly and feeds back into the pond, providing the water circulation I needed and got this solar kit for. It won’t look great until I rig up the sluice (like one of those bamboo ones shown on the product page), but once that’s done, I’ll be happy with this kit.If you have a smaller water feature, like a half-whiskey barrel pond, this will be a great kit for you. The solar panel itself is of good quality, there is plenty of length to the black cord that disappears into the landscape, and the little pump doesn’t take up a lot of room. Included with the kit are some extra filters. If you’ve never had a pond before, you should know that pumps require regular cleaning to work properly!

Solar pump

Review of POPOSOAP Solar Pond Pump, 30W Solar Water Pump 430GPH Flow Adjustable, Solar Fountain Pump with Diverter Valve & 6.6 FT Tubing for Ponds, Wildlife Garden, Waterfall, Fountain,DIY Yard Water FeatureQuality:Good. All the components are well made. Plastic parts are smooth, no outflow. Solar panel is put together snugly. Metal components have smooth edges and good coating. Pump feels durable.Impressions:All parts fit together nicely. It seems as though it will move a good amount of water on a full charge. Solar panel is very large to collect a lot of sun.At present the weather is not conducive to full setup and use but judging from the quality of the individual components I anticipate it working well over the season. As soon as the weather warms enough it will be set up and if there are any concerns they'll be noted in the update.
